Synopsis:

My review:

Kalifornia is probably one of the most under-rated gems in film history. The movie is a superb crime drama that manages to remain intense and gripping throughout its runtime. The film stars Brad Pitt in one of his most unique roles in his eclectic career as a murderer wanted by the law. However, it is Juliette Lewis who is simply a scene-stealer, delivering a stunning and unbelievably-great performance. The chemistry between her and Pitt’s character is amongst the film’s highlights as it is a relationship filled with a strange mix of love and psychological torture. Director Dominic Sena does a commendable job in keeping the film’s intensity going as it slowly builds to its bloody ending. Suffice to say, Kalifornia is one of the 1990’s best films that deserves to be seen by everyone.

  • Brad Pitt (as Early Grayce)
  • Juliette Lewis (as Adele Corners)
